Countly Flex is evolving: faster analytics, clearer capabilities, more ways to get support
A much faster analytics engine, the free tier retired, add-ons regrouped into capability bundles, and new one-time services and support tiers.
Countly Flex was introduced to give teams a more flexible way to build their product analytics stack around their needs. Over the past two years we have seen teams use Flex in different ways: some needed powerful analytics infrastructure, some wanted experimentation and personalization, some needed deeper data exploration, and others wanted more guidance during setup, rollout or optimization. That feedback has shaped the next evolution of Flex.
What is changing
- A much faster analytics engine behind Countly
- The removal of the free tier
- New capability-based add-on bundles
- New one-time services and support tiers
Together these changes make Flex more focused for teams that want to use Countly as a serious analytics foundation, not just a reporting layer.
A faster engine behind your analytics
The biggest upgrade is performance. As products grow, analytics needs become more complex: teams ask more detailed questions, data volumes increase, and segments, funnels, cohorts, experiments and behavioral queries become part of everyday decision-making. The updated engine is designed to make that experience faster, so teams move from question to insight without unnecessary delays.
Moving away from the free tier
We are removing the free tier from Flex. This lets us focus our investment on the teams using Flex as a core part of their analytics infrastructure, putting energy into performance, reliability, packaging, services and support instead of maintaining a free plan. For new teams evaluating Countly it also makes the path clearer.
Capability bundles built around goals
Previously teams selected individual add-ons feature by feature. We are grouping related functionality into bundles that reflect what teams are actually trying to achieve.
Adaptivity: build adaptive, personalized product experiences
Adaptivity is for teams that want to turn analytics into action: experiences that respond to user behavior, support experimentation, and continuously improve engagement and retention.
- Run A/B and multivariate experiments
- Trigger personalized experiences based on user behavior
- Collect and act on user feedback
- Continuously optimize engagement and retention
Intelligence: go deeper with data, analysis and AI
Intelligence is for teams that want to investigate their data more deeply and uncover insights standard reporting may not reveal.
- Advanced segmentation and cohort analysis
- Funnels and behavioral insight
- Explore and query raw data directly
- Use AI to surface patterns and opportunities
New services and support options
Not every team needs the same level of help. Some are comfortable with community support through Discord; others need direct guidance when implementing Countly, scaling analytics, setting up complex use cases or aligning teams around data. Flex now includes one-time services and support tiers: expert implementation, analytics setup, technical guidance, optimization help, or ongoing assistance beyond the community.
Why we are making these changes
Flex has always been about flexibility. This update keeps that principle but makes it easier for teams to understand what they need and choose the right path: faster answers, capabilities chosen by goal rather than isolated feature, deeper analysis, and expert help when community help is not enough.
Countly Flex is evolving so your analytics can evolve with you.
