About
A mission to put
product data back
where it belongs
The most important decisions about a product are made on behavioral data: what people do, where they stop, what brings them back. For most companies that data lives in someone else’s cloud, pooled with thousands of other tenants and queryable only through the vendor.
Countly started in 2012 as an open-source mobile analytics project with a simple position. Product data is infrastructure. It should live where the rest of your infrastructure lives, under your rules, in real time, with no vendor between you and your users.
That position shaped everything since. One data layer instead of three vendors and three copies of the data. Analytics, engagement and AI in the same system, so the cohort you find is the audience you message and the context your models read. Masking, consent and residency as properties of the architecture, not paragraphs in a policy.
Today more than 17,000 apps on 2,000+ Countly servers in 126 countries run on Countly, from banks and healthcare providers to fast-moving startups. We are 50+ people in 20+ countries, bootstrapped and independent, and we intend to stay that way.
